Getting Started
This page covers the high-level shape of onboarding with CloudEdging. Detailed, step-by-step integration instructions will be added here as we get closer to general availability — for now, this is the conceptual overview.
The onboarding flow
- Connect your Cloudflare account. CloudEdging uses a scoped Cloudflare API token — never your full account credentials — to read your zone configuration and traffic analytics.
- Upload a cloud bill. A billing export from any major provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, and others) in spreadsheet or PDF format. CloudEdging extracts and categorizes your costs automatically.
- Answer any clarifying questions. Some billing formats — especially reseller and partner invoices — don't include every detail CloudEdging needs (commitment terms, discount structure). You'll be asked to confirm anything that can't be determined from the bill alone.
- Review your recommendations. Once your data is validated, CloudEdging surfaces both configuration recommendations and redundant spend opportunities, each with the reasoning and evidence behind it.
- Act on what makes sense for you. Every recommendation is a suggestion, never an automatic change — you decide what to request or apply.
What you'll need
- A Cloudflare account (any plan — CloudEdging works across plan tiers)
- Billing export access for whichever other cloud providers you use
- Someone with access to your Cloudflare zone settings, to review and act on configuration recommendations
